Just a bit of synthesizing

March 12th, it’s our weekly meeting. This past week seems longer because we’ve been talking to many teachers throughout the week, and every encounter carried so many impressive stories of those teachers and their beloved students.

Also, as mentioned in the previous blog, we are going to have the workshop with middle school students in Lakeland Elementary/Middle School very soon. We think today should be a good time for us to take the first-step sorting out what we heard and learned.

From the very basic synthesized result, we reminded ourselves to acknowledge the challenges in the education system and in the Baltimore City. We planned the outline of the four workshops with keeping the equity and justice in mind. Hope to prepare the classroom with valuing everyone’s existence and identity and building the connections and agreement for introducing the DFC framework.
